About us

Female Scholars Foundation is a non-profit organization set up to provide sponsorship for university education, guidance, and mentorship to poor young women in the rural areas, in order to adequately equip them to integrate into the modern society and obtain reputable professional jobs across the globe. We achieve our mission through partnerships with individuals, private institutions, government organizations and development organizations.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a female student not over the age of 20.
  • Must have graduated from a public secondary school.
  • Must have a minimum JAMB score of 240 for the year 2024.
  • Must have a minimum of B3 in core subjects, including Mathematics and English in WAEC, NECO or GCE.

Our Approach

Scholarship

The female scholars are provided full scholarship covering tuition, books and living expenses throughout university.

Mentorship

Each female scholar is assigned a mentor who is an industry expert in their chosen career field to support with career guidance.

Internship

The female scholars are provided international and regional internship opportunities through our network.

Coaching

The female scholars are supported to develop interpersonal and leadership skills, through private coaching, webinars and group retreats.

How are the scholars selected?

Scholars are selected on merit basis. Eligible candidates are to submit their application on the website providing all required academic details and documents. After a “motivation statement”, the shortlisted candidates are invited to an interview.

When Should I Apply?

Please note that the application for 2024 will commence from September 01, 2024 and end December 31st.

How to Apply

  1. Click on “Apply Now“ and create a profile by filling out a short registration form.
  2. Once this is completed, you will receive an email confirming that your profile has been received.
  3. Subsequently you will be provided with the application form to complete and submit to the foundation.
